| STATE APPROVED NURSE AIDE TRAINING AND COMPETENCY EVALUATION PROGRAM | |
| This course is designed to provide classroom instruction, practical application and clinical experience for participants who desire work as Nursing Assistants in the long-term care setting. Basic bedside nursing procedures are taught along with concepts of the aging process, diseases of the elderly, environmental/resident/staff safety, infection control, promotion of resident independence, emergency procedures and behavior intervention techniques. There is emphasis on respecting resident’s rights. The trainee is given an understanding of the importance of the health care team attitudes, which affect job performance and satisfaction, as well as interpersonal relationships. The coordinator and instructors are committed to serving the individual needs of those we serve in our community. | |
